Insulated vs non insualted garage doors

Often times we are asked "i don't know if i should go insulated or non-insulated, what is the difference?"

Well, believe it or not, there is a huge difference! Down below i am going to explain the differences.

Insulated

Picking an insulated garage door is a FANTASTIC option. One of the biggest differences is that it keeps your garage cooler in these Phoenix summers! Overtime it helps reduce your energy expenses on your home because not only is it keeping your garage cool, but it is also keeping whatever rooms that are behind the garage cooler as well! Insulated garage doors are essentially built to last, as you can see in the diagram that the sections are 2 sides of steel that sandwich's polyurethane or polystyrene insulation! Another pro of having a insulated garage door is how quiet and smooth the door rolls, as you do not have "popping sounds" from a non-insulated door! However, insulated garage doors are a bit more expensive than your standard non-insulated garage doors. At Delta Garage Doors we value everybody's decision on whatever option they choose!

Non-Insulated

There is nothing wrong with having a non-insulated garage door! If you are looking to replace your garage door and you are on a tighter budget then this is the option for you! We carry 25ga steel pan doors that will give you the durability to last! The steel on a  non-insulated garage doors tend to get extremely hot during Phoenix summers which tend to make the rooms behind the garage hotter.
